When Warrior’s Cry

Take away my morals
Strip away my moral compass
Relieve me of my titles.

Leave me with nothing else,
except my pain.

Take away my skills
Unteach the styles I’ve mastered
Erase my techniques
Undo my discipline
Unclench my fists
Unrage my heart.

Leave me with nothing else,
except my scars.

Take away my belt
Strip away my gi.
Relinquish my weapon
Unravel my core values
Dispel my anger.

Leave me with nothing else,
except my loss.

So I may know,
once again,
the love I
once felt.
